How to get there by public transport

The Swiss Federal Railway (SBB) takes you to Visp/Brig conveniently and fast. There are direct connections to Visp/Brig from Basle, Berne, Zurich, Geneva and Milan and other European cities. Then take the "Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn" train to Mörel, from where you take the aerial cable car up to car-free Riederalp Mörel can also be reached via the Goms area. From Zurich, Basle, Milan, etc., take the train to Göschenen where you change for the "Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn" train to the Goms area and further on to Mörel

How to get there by private transport Mörel is easily reached by private transport all year round. In Mörel you take the aerial cable car up to car-free Riederalp. From Milan you can drive over the Simplon Pass (open all year) or take the Simplon car transport (Iselle-Brig). From Lake Geneva you go via the Rhone valley and from Basle and Berne you travel via the Lötschberg car transport (Kandersteg-Goppenstein). From Zurich, Eastern and Central Switzerland take the Furka car transport (Realp-Oberwald). There is plenty of parking in Mörel. In summer it is well worth travelling over the Alpine passes of Grimsel, Furka, Nufenen and Simplon. They are open from early June until the end of October.Arriving in Mörel, please take the large cablecar for reaching the Wellness Resort Alpenrose and the Art Furrer Resort.
